How to Connect Your Airbnb Account

With the Jervis Systems-Airbnb integration, you can import your listings and reservation details and automate listing access via SET PIN codes and smart home device settings for guests.

Below, we outline the complete step-by-step process to connect Airbnb to Jervis Systems and set up PIN code access.

  1. First, log in to your Jervis Systems account and select the option to connect to Airbnb from the Marketplace page. Be sure you are logged into your Airbnb account.

  1. Now that your accounts are connected, you’ll see the connection is enabled, and the Settings button is displayed. See the section below on how to configure settings for guest messaging.
  2. From the Listings page, you can confirm all listings or properties are imported via the Listings tab.

  1. The next steps will walk you through setting up access between Jervis Systems and Airbnb for your imported reservations or configuring unit access. Go to the Devices page and connect to your smart locks and devices by selecting the Import Devices button, or select Smart Devices from the Marketplace screen. From there, select your smart lock or device provider and follow the prompts to connect your account.

  1. Once your devices are imported successfully, you will want to assign your devices to your imported Airbnb listings. You can do this by selecting the drop-down list for the device you want to assign and checking the boxes for the listings to which you want it assigned. Once assigned, the status indicator will turn green for all listings with assigned devices on the Listings page.

  1. You can confirm that automated access is set up by navigating to the Reservations tab in Jervis Systems. You should see the PIN code in the SET PIN field.

  1. If you need to set up longer-term access for your units outside of an imported reservation, whether that’s for general access, setting up thermostat settings for a unit that’s occupied or empty, or cleaner/maintenance entry, you can select Add New Access at the top of the Reservations page to do that at any time.

How to Set Up Guest Messaging

  1. Navigate to the Marketplace < Airbnb < Settings button to edit the templates and their settings. For Airbnb, you only need to toggle on the Email/Airbnb option at the top of the Notification Template page.

  1. From here, you can use the editor to customize the template and set the scheduling conditions for the messages to be sent at a specific time before check-in to the guest or other team members. You can add any variables to populate your property information by clicking the Variables option in the content formatting menu.

  1. Select {PINCODE} to have Jervis automatically populate your PIN code, which will be inserted into the email when it’s sent.
  1. Selecting Preview at the bottom of each template will allow you to review the template the way the guest or other recipient will see it, so you can make any changes.
  1. Once your templates are saved, they will begin sending once the timing conditions have been met for upcoming reservations.

Success! Your Jervis Systems and Airbnb accounts are connected, your PIN codes are set up, and your messaging is ready to send. Guests can either type the PIN code in or use our web app (AccessMyProperty.com) and mobile app to click to unlock. You can see more details on sharing access in our guide here.
