How to Connect Your Shelly Devices

Importing your Shelly devices allows you to set up temperature automation settings for your pool and hot tub for guest stays.

We recommend puchasing the Shelly Plus 1PM and Shelly Plus products from our Supported Devices page here. You will also need a thermistor like the one listed here to read the actual temperature in your hot tub or pool heater.

It is best to check with a pool technician on which gauge wiring is best and where best to connect up the thermistor to get an accurate reading. Generally for install, we see estimates around $100 for parts plus labor. If you have a specific pool technician that you work wtih, you can connect them with our team so we can help explain more on the details for setup.

Once the devices are connected up to your equipment and added to your Shelly account, Jervis can control your hot tub/pool heater as shown in our guide to pool and hot tub heater settings here.

This guide, specifically, will show you the step-by-step process to import your Shelly account into Jervis:

  1. First, make sure you are connected to your property management system or channel manager. Each platform will have its unique requirements to connect. To view the instructions for your specific system, check out the user guides on our FAQ page.
  1. To connect to Shelly, copy the Auth key by visiting the following link: https://control.shelly.cloud/#/settings/user

Note: We recommend doing this on a computer rather than a phone.

  1. Once you have copied the Auth key, head over to the Devices page of your Jervis Systems account. Select the Import Devices button, and choose Shelly from the drop-down menu.
  1. You will be prompted to input your credentials to connect.

  1. Once your Shelly account is connected, you can select the Refresh button on your devices page to show your imported devices. Then, select the drop-down list under the Assigned Listings column to assign the device(s) to a listing. Be sure devices are assigned to the correct listing. After assigning a device, the status will show as enabled.
  2. Going forward, if you are looking to import newly added Shelly devices, do not select Refresh Devices. This is the one exception for devices currently integrated with Jervis Systems, where you will need to disconnect and reconnect your Shelly devices to bring in the new devices. With all other device vendors, we recommend refreshing devices.
  3. From here, you can set your temperature and switch settings for your Shelly devices by selecting the Edit option in the operations menu for each imported device.
  1. For setting up your Shelly devices on the Edit view, it’s worth noting that you can configure settings that will turn the device on or off based on the temperature in Guest Mode. This is disabled by default. In Vacant Mode, the device is automatically turned off if it is left on.

That’s it! Now, your Shelly devices are mapped to your respective listings and temperature settings are configured for your upcoming reservations.
