Depending on your setup, there may be rare cases where either the battery level for your device is falling very quickly or notifications are not being issued, despite a present low battery level.
For example, a battery may be below the threshold setting for issuing a low battery alert (20%), and instead be 10%, but you and your team aren’t getting a notice from Jervis.
There are two areas we recommend checking:
- First, make sure, whenever possible, that you’re using high-quality AA alkaline batteries for your locks, unless otherwise directed by the brand. We tend to see much better performance with AA alkaline batteries rather than lithium or rechargeable batteries.
- Make sure your Wi-Fi connection is strong. With a poor connection, the lock is working much harder to stay connected to Wi-Fi or reconnect to Wi-Fi. This will end up eating into your overall battery life. You can check out our guide here on testing your Wi-Fi strength.
