How to Connect Your Smoobu Account to Jervis Systems®

With the Jervis Systems®-Smoobu integration, you can import your property listings and reservation details and automate property access via SET PIN codes for guests, cleaning companies, and maintenance personnel.

Below we outline the complete step-by-step process to connect Smoobu to Jervis Systems and set up PIN code access for guests:

  1. First, login to your Smoobu account to start the process of setting up the webhook for Jervis Systems.

  1. Head over to the Settings and select the options to set booking portal and website settings. You’ll want to paste this URL (https://jervis.systems/webhook/smoobu) into the available Webhook URL field. Be sure to save your changes.

  1. Next, navigate to the Jervis Systems Marketplace and select the option to connect to Smoobu.

  1. To fully connect, you will need to paste your API Key from your Smoobu account.

  1. To get your API Key, log into your Smoobu account, navigate to your Settings, and select “For Developers”.

  1. Copy your API Key.

  1. Go back to your Jervis Systems account to paste it into the provided field. Then, select Connect. Your Smoobu account should now be connected on the Marketplace page.

  1. Once you are connected, go to the Listings page within your Jervis Systems account and click Refresh Listings. When the page has been reloaded, you will see all of the listings imported from your Smoobu account.

Note: From here, you have the option to edit your listings to add an offset capability that allows Jervis Systems to configure automated keyless access for early check-in and late check-out. If you have the same offset capabilities across all listings, you can use the bulk offset tool to apply these settings across your entire portfolio.

  1. The next steps will walk you through setting up access between Jervis Systems and Smoobu for your imported reservations. Go to the Devices page and connect to your smart locks and devices by selecting the Import Devices button. From there, select your smart lock or device provider and follow the prompts to connect your account.

  1. Once your devices are imported successfully, you will want to assign your devices to your imported Smoobu listings. You can do this by selecting the drop-down list for the device you want to assign and checking the boxes for the listings to which you want it assigned. Once assigned, the status indicator will turn green for all properties with assigned devices on the Listings page.

  1. You can confirm that automated access is set up by navigating to the Reservations tab in Jervis Systems. You should see the PIN code in the SET PIN field.

  1. On the Smoobu side, you can view the code has been set by navigating to the booking details for the associated reservation.

  1. Next, you’ll want to set up your Smoobu email templates to automatically send the SET PIN code details out to guests before check-in. To do this, navigate back to the Communications area in the Settings of your Smoobu account.

  1. Select the option to “Create” a message template.

  1. The message editor will allow you to select a pre-written template. Select the “Day Before Arrival” template option fromt the drop-down list.

  1. Edit the template by adding [jervisLockCode] wherever you want to populate the SET PIN Code in the message.

  1. You can preview this message by heading over to your guest messages.

Success! You now have your Jervis Systems and Smoobu accounts connected, your SET PIN created, and your access instructions set up to be sent to the guests.
