How Does the Rolling Two-Week Window Work in Jervis?

With Jervis, we show a rolling two-week window for reservations on our Reservations page.

While we only show a select number of reservations according to the Reservations view in Jervis, we receive notifications for all new reservations immediately. This includes any same-day or very last-minute reservations.

What is displayed and processed is what is within the two-week rolling window. If a new reservation is received but it is outside the processing window, it is not visible in your Jervis dashboard or processed until the reservation falls within the two-week window.

Why do we do this? We don’t want to overload locks, and with device vendors, there are limitations on the number of PIN codes that can be set on the lock or device at any given time. If we did this for reservations for months or years out from now, that would be a lot of codes otherwise!

To avoid any conflicts and errors (and, consequently, any errors in guest access), we only process in that two-week window.

It does not matter if the reservation came in months ago or checking in today. If the reservation falls within our processing window, it will be processed.
