This guide will walk you through how to connect your Keyless account and devices to Jervis Systems.
Find your Keyless Account Key and Secret Key in your Keyless account under Settings < Integration.
If a “Custom Integration” is already created, click on the Action button for that line item and select “View”.
If a Custom Integration does not exist already, click on “Create Integration” < Custom Integration.
From your Jervis Systems account, navigate to the Devices page and select Keyless from the Import Devices drop-down list.
Fill in the fields with your Keyless account key and secret key.
Once your Keyless account is connected, your devices inside Keyless should now be automatically imported into Jervis.
Then, select the drop-down list under the Assigned Listings column to assign the device(s) to a listing. Be sure devices are assigned to the correct listing.
Going forward, if you are looking to import newly added Keyless devices, do not re-import the vendor.
From the Listings page, copy the listing ID next to your listing name.
In your Keyless account, navigate to the assigned lock for that listing on the Locks page.
Select the option to edit the lock.
Paste the listing ID you copied from Jervis into the Listing ID field. Then select the option to Update.
From your reservations tab in Jervis, select the Refresh Reservations button.
As reservations are imported, the system will process them and will create them in Keyless. Keyless generates a reservation ID and sends that to us. This reservations ID will be displayed under the SET PIN column.
We will send this reservation ID to the PMS and store with the same variable we use for door PIN codes.
If you have a property management system connected, you can create an email template to automatically send access instructions to guests.
You can use the door code variable in your messaging templates. This will allow you to automatically enter the reservation ID into your messages as they are sent out. We detail how to set up messaging templates and which door code variable to use for different property management systems in our guides here.
Your guest will need to install the Keyless app and enter the reservation ID to access all the locks associated with that property.
NOTE: The Keyless API does not allow storing of the door code directly into the locks that they manage. Your guest must download the Keyless app for entry.
Here is an example template you can use:
—-
{Dear Guest or Your PMS Guest Name Variable}
To access the property during your reservation, please download the Keyless app from your respective app store marketplace:
Once you have downloaded the app, create an account. After signing up for your Keyless application, click on ‘Claim your key’ and enter the code below:
[Your PMS Door Code Variable]
Once you click on ‘Proceed’, the lock will become available in your Keyless application.
Please keep in mind that access will only work during the reservation period, from check-in time until check-out time.
If you run into any issues, let us know.
Thank you,
{Your Name or Company Name or Variable from your PMS]
