How to Connect Your eviivo Account to Jervis Systems®
With the Jervis Systems-eviivo integration, you can import your listings and reservation details and automate listing access via SET PIN codes and smart home device settings for guests, cleaning companies, and maintenance personnel.
Below we outline the complete step-by-step process to connect eviivo to Jervis Systems, set up PIN code access, and configure automated messaging for guests:
- First, login to your Jervis Systems account and select the option to connect to eviivo from the Marketplace page.
- You will be prompted to input your client ID, API key, and short name in the provided fields. To obtain this information, you will need to contact the eviivo team.
- To do this, log into your eviivo account and select the Help button.
- From here, you will need to submit a support request. From the drop-down list, select the option to integrate eviivo with another software. In the comment field, you can copy and paste the following before selecting the Submit button:
I would like to connect to Jervis. Please provide my client ID, secret key, and short name.
- After you submit your request, the eviivo team will provide share your account information via email to paste into the provided fields to connect with Jervis.
- Once you are connected, you have the option to connect another account. Use this option to connect another eviivo account that you manage OR to connect multiple properties in the same eviivo account. For each connection, please ONLY select one eviivo listing if you have multiple listings in the same account. Otherwise, there will be issues with the eviivo API with reservations or listings flowing into Jervis.
- Go to the Listings page within your Jervis Systems account and click Refresh Listings. When the page has been reloaded, you will see all of the listings imported from your eviivo account.
Note: From here, you have the option to edit your listings to add an offset capability that allows Jervis Systems to configure automated keyless access for early check-in and late check-out. If you have the same offset capabilities across all listings, you can use the bulk offset tool to apply these settings across your entire portfolio.
- The next steps will walk you through setting up automated access between Jervis Systems and eviivo for your imported reservations. Go to the Devices page and connect to your smart locks and devices by selecting the Import Devices button. From there, select your smart lock or device provider and follow the prompts to connect your account.
- Once your devices are imported successfully, you will want to assign your devices to your imported eviivo listings. You can do this by selecting the drop-down list for the device you want to assign and checking the boxes for the listings to which you want it assigned. Once assigned, the status indicator will turn green for all properties with assigned devices on the Listings page.
- You can confirm that automated access is set up by navigating to the Reservations tab in Jervis Systems. You should see the PIN code in the SET PIN field.
- In your eviivo account, you can confirm the door code has been set up for the reservation by navigating to the booking summary and selecting the Door Codes tab.
- You now have your Jervis Systems and eviivo accounts connected and your SET PIN has been created. In eviivo, your next steps will be to set up your guest messaging to deliver the code and access instructions to the guest. To set up your message template, navigate to the Guest tab in your account and select Emails & Messages.
- You will need to set up a new template to send out the access code to your guests for each reservation. In the schedule settings, select the option to send the message 24 hours before the earliest check-in.
- In the message template, be sure to use the [door_code] variable wherever you would like the PIN code to populate in your check-in instructions. Once you have edited your messaging template, you are ready to go.
For last-minute reservations, a 15-minute delay is added to bookings to give buffer time to generate and confirm codes sent to the guest. This is to prevent access messages being sent without the code.
Success! Your Jervis Systems and eviivo accounts are connected, your PIN codes are set up, and you have your messaging created to send automatically to your guests.
