How to Connect Your rezStream Account

How to Connect Your rezStream Account

With the Jervis Systems-rezStream integration, you can import your listings and reservation details and automate listing access via SET PIN codes and smart home device settings for guests, cleaning companies, and maintenance personnel.

Below, we outline the complete step-by-step process to connect rezStream to Jervis Systems and set up PIN code access.

  1. First, log in to your Jervis Systems account and select the option to connect to rezStream from the Marketplace page.
  1. Fill in your login credentials to connect.
  1. Authorize the connection.

  1. You have the option to select the toggle to turn on the option for Auto Guest Notifications. This is optional. Going this route, your message sharing access info with guests will go through Jervis Systems. Otherwise, you can set up your own external messaging service to share the code from Jervis with your guest.

  1. From the listings page, all units that you manage will be imported and set up as designated in rezStream. Use the Bulk Update option at the top of the Listings page to apply settings across all listings/units you currently manage. For example, the time/offset settings allow you to configure early check-in or check-out.

  1. The next steps will walk you through setting up access between Jervis Systems and rezStream for your imported reservations or configuring unit access. Go to the Devices page and connect to your smart locks and devices by selecting the Import Devices button. From there, select your smart lock or device provider and follow the prompts to connect your account.

  1. Once your devices are imported successfully, you will want to assign your devices to your imported rezStream listings. You can do this by selecting the drop-down list for the device you want to assign and checking the boxes for the listings to which you want it assigned. Once assigned, the status indicator will turn green for all listings with assigned devices on the Listings page.

  1. You can confirm that automated access is set up by navigating to the Reservations tab in Jervis Systems. You should see the PIN code in the SET PIN field.

  1. If you need to set up longer-term access for your units outside of an imported reservation, whether that’s for general access, setting up thermostat settings for a unit that’s occupied or empty, or cleaner/maintenance entry, you can select Add New Access at the top of the page to do that at any time.

How to Set Up Auto Guest Notifications for Messaging

If you are electing to use Auto Guest Notifications with Jervis Systems (see step 5 above), you will have an added menu option under Add-Ons < Guest Notifications that allows you to send email, SMS, and WhatsApp messages (charges apply per sent message). Note that this is a one-way messaging system.

  1. Navigate to the Templates tab and select the three dots to open the Operations menu for a specific template to edit its settings.

  1. For all email template settings, you have the ability to select the recipient it will need to send to, when it should be sent relative to the reservation, add any emails you want to CC, and edit the template text.

  1. Aside from being able to add images, tables, links, and video embeds, you can add any variables to populate your property information by clicking the Variables option in the content formatting menu. This will allow you to select from any number of variables based on your listing information.

  1. Select {PINCODE} to have Jervis automatically populate your PIN code generated in Step 9, which will be inserted into the email when it’s sent.
  1. Selecting Preview at the bottom of each template (including SMS and WhatsApp) will allow you to review the template the way the guest or other recipient will see it, so you can make any changes.
  1. For text and WhatsApp, you can edit each template to adjust the recipient, the timing relative to the reservation, and the content.

Once your templates are saved, they will begin sending once the timing conditions have been met for upcoming reservations.
