How to Import Your SmartThings-Connected Devices to Jervis®

With Jervis, you can connect your SmartThings account and import your smart devices for your property. From there, you can set up automated heating, cooling, lighting, and smart access settings in Jervis.

NOTE:  Jervis does not guarantee functionality for SmartThings connected devices. Please research your devices and the functionality you need before you purchase and connect devices to Jervis through SmartThings.

  1. Go to the Devices page, select the Import Devices button, and select SmartThings from the drop-down list.

  1. On the next page, you have the option to select which way you would like the code to be added to future reservations. With SmartThings, Jervis does NOT have the ability to schedule codes on locks like we do with direct lock vendor connections. In case you import locks in the future, we recommend selecting the second option to “Add code on lock when reservation starts + offsets.”

With this option selected, Jervis will put the code on the lock right when the reservation starts and any property level offsets you have configured.

  1. Once you have connected one location, you can go back through the import process to bring in other locations associated with your SmartThings account. Repeat the prior steps to set up your other locations.
  2. Once your SmartThings locations are imported, you can select the Refresh button on the Devices page to show your imported devices. Then, select the drop-down list under the Assigned Listings column to assign the device(s) to a listing. Be sure devices are assigned to the correct listing. After assigning your device, the status will show as enabled.

  1. Going forward, if you are looking to import newly added SmartThings devices, do not re-import the vendor. Use the Refresh Devices option at the top of the Devices page.
  2. Next, go to the Reservations page and select the Refresh button. If you have a smart lock connected and assigned to a listing, you should see a PIN code in the SET PIN field.

  1. For smart lights and switches, you can configure settings similarly. We offer the ability to configure settings for Guest Mode and Vacant mode.

That’s it! Now, your SmartThings hub is connected, devices are imported and mapped to their respective listings, and your settings are applied for future reservations.
