How to Reconnect Devices After Factory Resetting or Replacing a Lock
At times, you may need to reset or replace a lock. This guides details what to do to get the device up and running and properly connected to your properties.
Sometimes the device ID will change on the device vendor side. It depends on the brand, but in cases of replacing the lock, this is typical.
- Log into your Jervis Systems account and select the Devices page. Select the Refresh Devices button. This will pull in the new or reset lock. If you’re not seeing the new lock, we recommend completely disconnecting and reconnecting the device account, following the instructions in our guide here.
- Once you see the new lock, you can remove the old lock, and re-assign the device to the property.
- Navigate to the Reservations page. Select the option to reprocess the affected reservation from the Operations menu.
- If multiple reservations need to be reprocessed, you can select the checkbox for each and then select the option to reprocess.
- We recommend that you verify the new codes have been added to the lock in 15-30 minutes.
