How to Set Up PIN Codes (Random + Phone Number-Based)
With Jervis Systems, PIN codes are generated either as a random set of numbers or the last four digits of a guest’s phone number.
Our current default is to create the code based on the guest phone number.
These settings can be adjusted per listing or via our bulk update feature to apply to all listings.
How to Edit PIN Code Settings Per Listing
- To edit PIN code settings per listing, head over to the Listings page and select the Operations menu > Edit.
- From there, you’ll have the option to edit the PIN code details to either the guest phone number or a random PIN code. You can change this setting at any time. By default, Jervis will use the guest’s phone number when it is provided in the reservation. If no phone number is available, a random code will be generated automatically.
How to Bulk Edit PIN Code Settings
- To edit for bulk listings, navigate to the Listings page and select the option to Bulk Update.
- From the modal, select the PIN code type. Choose the propertiese from the drop-down that you want the options to apply to and the PIN code option you’d like to use. With bulk editing, you don’t have to adjust every setting on the form, just the settings needed for your listings. Be sure to apply the selected settings.
